what if the reason why beetle has a turtle helmet is because he's scared of drowning. he's hydrophobic.

tbf it's not COMPLEtely nonsensical. I'd imagine a lot of bugs would stress abt that since they can't fly with waterlogged wings? And I don't think Beetle would be a water beetle
