i do really enjoy portrayals of lumine where she is a lot less heroic and more self-serving. not to say that i like content that panders to the general consensus of lumine being the "cold-hearted" traveller between her and aether, but i just generally enjoy those moments where the traveller does not fulfill some narrative justice that makes them purely valiant. good-natured, yes, but good-natured and honest at best. they'll leverage connections they need to achieve an overarching goal. and even if she'll do what's right because of her own moral compass, it's because she feels compelled to, since it hinders a bigger target that she's looking to hit.
