While it may not be currently occupied, what transpired during the occupation of Alcatraz set a precedent and inspired many generations down the line. Whatever you do today, don't think about the near tomorrow. Think past yourself, past whatever you'll do with your life, past the day you die, far away in the future for your children's children. Will your actions today benefit them? Are you trying to be the best that you are capable of?This is something I never fathomed until after I had kids.
