Today's track is an experiment with a third bridge, meaning that I stuck a screwdriver between the fretboard and strings of a guitar (Stanley is the brand of screwdriver), and tuned it all weird (approximately Db Ab Db F Bb C with the screwdriver just below the 13th fret). Using a third bridge leads to some interesting tonal qualities, chief among them the resonance between the two sides of the string separated by the "bridge". Thurston and Lee from Sonic Youth used them pretty often. For this I took a slide to the side of the strings not amplified by the pickups and just messed around finding the sweetspots, so the part of the strings amplified by the pickups act like sympathetic strings. Oh yeah, and it's going through a twin reverb amp, btw.
