Brew #314: Third Circle Chasing Shadows Belgian Porter

Abv: 5.6%

Served: Off the shelf

Aroma: Cold coffee, oats, malt, chocolate

Pour: Ruby black with big frothing tan head reducing to half finger skim and then again to nowt

Taste: Coffee and malt wash with notes of porridge and very faint coconut. Soft carbonation and silky mouthfeel with slight chocolate tang at the finish. Nice mid wash of treacle and sticky toffee. Light and sweet balanced with dark and rich. Very nice.

Brew #266: Third Circle Pale Ale

Abv: 4.8%

Served: From the fridge

Aroma: Mandarin, faint pine, malt

Pour: Opaque amber with a finger of white froth

Taste: Good citrus and pine hit on the wash with slightly oily mouthfeel, light malt sweets before a medium dry bitter bite to finish. Top class pale ale, background notes of wheat and grain. Aftertaste of watermelon and cedar.

Brew #117: Third Circle Rye Stout

ABV: 5.5%

Served: Off the shelf

Aroma: Vanilla, chocolate, soil

Pour: Cola black with tan froth bubbling down to nowt

Taste: Rich, dark chocolatey stout flavour on the wash with a smooth sllightly greasy mouthfeel. Moves into coffee cream and smoked finish with an aftertaste of rye. Solid, perfectly acceptable brew but this bottle was a bit flat for some reason.
