"Men shouldn't make laws about women's bodies" debate.

Hi I'm new to tumblr! This is my first post please read everything before commenting. Be respectful to me and i will be respectful to you. UwU

Argument number one:

people in government are the most qualified for the job. If a man is more highly educated and is more suited for the role in parliament then they get the job. Most of the time the people who get government roles are male, not because of sexism but because there are more qualified men than qualified women. The smarter and more well educated candidates make the laws and decisions and if men are in government then they make the laws.

It is purely sexist to say that a woman should make laws because she has a vagina, rather than the more qualified and educated man.

Argument number two "men don't understand":

A man will never know what it feels like to get an abortion, be vaginally raped or becoming pregnant because of a dumb decision, but like i said before they are extremely intelligent and highly educated they know what abortion is and how it works and they know that a life will be lost in the process. They can understand abortion but not the sensation, guilt, pressure ect of it and can make an educated decision if the law is necessary.

Argument number three:

Saying that men can't make a choice for a law that impacts women is just like saying human's can't make animal cruelty laws because they are human that just doesn't make sense.

Argument number four:

Government parties are mainly made of men but still have female candidates that can and do impact the vote for the law to be passed or rejected it's not like it's a secret society of men huddling in a circle discussing how to make women's lives harder. The majority of men are straight and have a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, auntie, daughter, co worker or friend that they love and appreciate men aren't making laws to make women's lives harder this law is being discussed because the men are concerned for the human baby that is being developed and care for the child's rights to be born.

I am a woman with my own opinions that you may or may not agree with which is 100% fine i fully respect you and your views and will treat you as a genuine human being until you give me a reason not to. I agree that women deserve rights and by that definition i am technically a first wave feminist but i classify myself as an anti feminist because i agree with their views more. I am not against feminism as a whole i am only against toxic third wave feminism but i respect your choices regardless. If you are a first, second, third wave, anti feminist, gay, straight, male, female, disabled, coloured or anything in between then i hope you have a wonderful day!
