I did the thing! Kinda. 2006-2018, I think I was coming up on 16 years old, had just gotten my first digital camera for Christmas, and was clearly in the larval stages of my emo phase judging by the striped fingerless gloves, mouthful of pink drumstick, and deeply conditioned MySpace angle selfie. 2004 you had a lot to answer for. Played a load of fairly good gigs all over considering we were a below average punk band, pestering promoters kind of worked. We even had CDs and that which we thought made us well proper, which admittedly we'd done the DIY way. Recorded in some matey boy from the local radio stations shed who charged a small fortune and then ran out of space on his 8 track so had to copy and paste the rest. I suppose it's all part of the learning curve of being in bands. Wonder if that number still works for texting the DJ at the Venue. Always loved playing at the Venue to a home crowd. I was desperately looking for a certain book (as my collection was all over the house), when I chanced upon these battered black 5A sticks. My very 1st pair. ❤ Yup, I had a couple of lessons back in highschool. And yes, I knew how to play the drums WAY BEFORE I learned how to fiddle with the guitar, bass, & the ukulele. 😅 Too bad I never progressed though; since naive-college-freshie-me thought I'd be "too weird" to be a female drummer.
