This boy is different from the others. He doesn’t have the irritating confidence my first love did. He lacks the urge to try and fix people like my last infatuation did. But I like that. This boy is awkward, kind, intelligent, but also a bit scatterbrained. I’m not in love with him, I’m not falling hard for him, but I could. I feel like if I spend more time with him, my walls will come down and the emotions of a new love might start. What’s difference about this is, for the first time, I’m not afraid. I’m not going to run away at the thought of crossing that line. If it happens, it happens. I don’t want to run away anymore.
