NATHAN “NATE” O’NEILL 35 — devout — homicide detective

brooklyn born and raised 🙌🏻

a dangerous cocktail of irish and italian catholic families, though remarkably he is an only child

his parents may not have been good catholics but nate was!! for a while

as a homicide detective, he’s seen some shit that’s shaken him and his beliefs, so he’s in a bit of a weird place and would rather just attend mass and go through the motions than deal with it head-on. which i guess makes him a devout and not a denier??

prefers acting his shoe size instead of his age. boyish charm by the buckets!! or immaturity by the buckets. depends on how Lame you are

a pretty solid detective regardless, he currently works in hudson heights but occasionally gets called down to help the major case squad in manhattan. he’s really good at empathizing and interviewing suspects. surprisingly upbeat.

doesn’t have a lot of faith (haha) in neuro-enhancements or cybernetics. maybe it’s due to his line of work, but he’s seen more bad than good come out of them... but sometimes a case will require him to get one
