I sorta miss hearing different languages every day... Here I hear English, English, English and more English. I’m used to having French, Dutch, smatterings of Swedish, Danish, German... And now it all feels dull.

In short: I said something in French today and someone was amazed, I said I was from Paris (”France not Texas”) and I got wide eyes, and someone else made a comment about “Europeans” speaking of them, and by extension me, as an “other” and all that felt strange...
