Friendzone

noun: Definition:  A type of rejection that occurs within a pair of really close, and seemingly date compatible friends.  One of which attempts to be part of a closer "relationship" and the other denies.  In some cases, both parties accept the fact that they are not truly compatible and continue their strong relationship.  Unfortunately, sometimes the friendship could be drastically damaged due to this occurrence.  Contrary to popular belief, this can happen to anyone, regardless of Sex / Gender / Sexual Orientation. A: "Hey, you two seem to be pretty close: you two dating?"

B: "...Um... no, we're just friends..."

A: "I know that look, she friendzoned you didn't she?"

B:  "Sadly yes, but we're still cool...I hope..."

  Just wanted to clarify that this DOES EXIST, and it happens a lot.  It's NOT however, the worst thing in the universe, as the internet claims.  Rejection stings, but you must move on people.  I've had my fair share of rejections, but I'm happy that I can remain the girl's friend for most of em'.  Any other I just never ran in to them ever again. Also, there are many other definitions of this word: but most of them are making the male (yes it only happens to men according to the internet...) seem like he befriended the female (only heterosexuals... BS) ONLY for SEX, and that's actually something different.  It's what I'd call Ultimate Rejection, in which one tried to think of schemes to get in bed with their partner which ultimately failed regardless.
