Ink is getting theatrical distribution globally!
Between that and the fact it’s opening the Venice Film Festival, it’s likely it’ll be a really good movie and an awards contender.
Netflix hasn’t announced a theatrical run for the US & Latin America yet, but my guess is there will be one to meet eligibility requirements for the Academy Awards, similar to what they did with Frankenstein last year.
As a Bertie fan, I’m very excited about this. I’m thinking his role will be a significant size given he’s the defacto antagonist in the movie (Hugh Cudlipp, chairman of the Mirror), potentially a larger role in the movie than the character had in the play.
Really looking forward to seeing Bertie at the VeniceFF (tho not yet confirmed) as well as a part of any promotional junkets and awards For Your Consideration campaigns he may be apart of.
