Sometimes...I just hate video games.

I hate the industry and I hate most of the people who buy them. There's so much misogyny and homophobia and it just seems like such a toxic and terrifying place. Constantly seeing people rip apart anything that tries to make LGBT and women and minorities feel included has just been wearing me down and it's making me feel so hopeless.

Earlier this week I even had the displeasure of seeing Telltale, a team I respected so much for the diverse casts they had in their games...talk about how they looked forward to killing a scared, disabled little girl.

This is the industry I want to go into, the one that will soon have me thousands upon thousands of dollars in debt (student loans) just so I can stand a chance of getting in.

And I no longer have any idea why. 

I used to be so passionate and excited and now I'm just sad.
