So, was Bubble boxed like Caine was by Kinger and the other programmers? Well imagine if he was and he wanted revenge of Kinger for abandoning him. Well, he decides to push Caine into believing he's an AI to punish Kinger. He even implants false ideas into Caine's head that Bubble his father (aka that Bubble created an AI child for himself) and Kinger tried to lock him away because he was "faulty." And Caine worships Bubble but hates/fears Kinger so much.

Kinger is lucid the entire time because Bubble conjured him a pair of tinted googles that Kinger can't remove. And slowly but surely Caine becomes less and less human to the point that he fully transitions into an AI when Jax strangles him and he no glows because he doesn't breathe anymore.

He actually was boxed exactly like Caine so that only fueled his hatred for humans even more

ALSO?? the fact that Kinger wears the glasses so he stays lucid and has to watch Caine become like that??? Its scary how well you can adapt to how Bubble would think its impressive (and super sad)

I hate that this has to be my first post after my break from posting but I need to address the Oscar situation concerning Wicked: For Good.

When I first heard that Wicked had zero Oscar nominations this year, of course I was disappointed. I was especially disappointed that a lot of the categories they were shortlisted for went to Avatar of all things. But I was okay with it because that’s just how the film industry works sometimes; Wicked itself is a film made by a diverse cast with a message people, white men especially, aren’t ready to face. I was okay with it until I found out why For Good wasn’t nominated.

In an article released by News Nation a few days ago, an anonymous voter from the Academy made a statement that said Cynthia’s and Ariana’s relationship “creeped them out” so much that they decided not to vote for the film. They were accused of “cosplaying” in terms of the close relationship they shared. I posted this portion on my Instagram story.

There are so many disgusting things about this that I truly don’t know where to begin. It reeks of misogyny, misogynoir, ableism, and racism in Cynthia’s case. You’re going to tell me that a woman protecting her friend from a rabid fan when security wouldn’t is “creepy?” You’re going to tell me that a woman caring about her friend’s trauma is “cosplaying?”

That’s another thing. Ariana has been super open about her PTSD, a lot of it concerning Manchester, as she’s started to feel safer to do so. No one owes anyone a public statement about their trauma, especially not someone so high profile, but she does it anyway because the act of spreading awareness matters to her. Imagine having your disability mocked by the Academy you were so happy to be part of (as of 2025 she is a member). Commenting on “protecting her anxiety” and using her support system as a jab in the same statement not only infantilizes her, it invalidates her emotions.

Cynthia, as always, gets the worst of it. Everything she does is discredited because people decided to stereotype her as an “aggressive, angry black woman” and use their infantilization of Ariana to support that. Cynthia protecting her best friend diminished her credibility because our culture has a huge misogynoir problem it refuses to acknowledge or address. The internet has not pulled its punches when it comes to Cynthia and the Academy decided to take the internet at face value instead of judging the film for what it is. Of course, we shouldn’t be surprised. White men have faced sexual assault allegations and won Oscars the very same year. It’s practically a rite of passage.

All to say, the fact that Wicked: For Good was snubbed by quite a few voters due to something that exists outside of the film itself is disgusting and disgraceful. If this had been two straight white men no one would have looked twice. The double standard in Hollywood is sickening and it’s only getting worse. Boycott the Oscars. I will be. I’ll link the original post below. These women have so much grace and class to not explode publicly at this.
