okay for my senior class we’re doing like this.... business simulation thing (capsim)

like our class is divided into teams and we’re all competing against each other and i thought it was gonna be SUCH a pain in the ass because there is so much stuff and it’s a little overwhelming at first because we have to think about all these aspects of running a business but it’s actually kind of...... fun

like each week seeing the reports that come out and seeing how each team did and who did what and who spent how much where and what strategy that team seems to be doing and.. man it’s interesting! it’s actually kind of fun trying to work through what we should do next and trying to figure out what the other teams are going to try to do and should we put our resources here or there? etc etc

#this is fun man #i mean........ it's probably not that close to actually running a real business #I mean capsim brags about being the closest thing to running a business #but honestly... how close can you really get without actually doing it #like if i were actually running a business it probably wouldn't be this fun #for one thing you have a WAY bigger industry to think about not just 6 'companies' in your class #like just thinking about that is overwhelming #but tbh i'm surprised that i'm even enjoying this at all #like... maybe.... not all hope is lost #i don't love my major and it's way too late to start even liking it but at least i finally found some aspect of it that i'm kinda enjoying
