nothing like having a good rant with @crimefightr
Paityn left the club with every intention of returning to her apartment; she doubted she’d come across a better offer. Keeping up a facade of being single in the limelight, especially with her return in front of the camera, was exhausting. It wasn’t just the public she had to fool; her family needed to believe the lie, as well. She used to lose herself in crowds with liquor flowing through her veins but now it just felt empty. She could escape despite how much she had to pretend.
Lighting a cigarette with the cold December air chilling her bare legs, Paityn took two steps before she spotted a familiar face across the road. She took a drag from her smoke before she asked, “just in the neighborhood or did you come for the party?” Paityn could still hear the music coming from the bar and smell the expensive booze spilled on the floor.
“I’ve heard of holidays like this, but never experienced it.”
He gave the boy a once over, it didn't matter a fig who Jack was, Winchester, Lucifer's boy, the Anti Christ, none of this mattered to Death, all just labels. Somehow in all this mess they forgot at the end of the day he was a boy.
"That is tragic." Dee said "We must fix this..." he added. "It's one of my favorites...the veil between the world's is particularly thin, and the fey folk --" he paused "Ah ,Dean calls them Jefferson Starships--play." he sized the boy up with a kindly smile. "Let's get a pumpkin and maybe find you a costume , trick or treating should be an experience all children have."
Death left a note telling the Winchester's where they were going. Would they worry, likely. Still Jack had his cell and they could call him. He was likely the safest person for him to be with anyways.
Shoot it isn't logging me in for some reason?? I think someone would've told me if there was a problem I'd caused...
Stairway to Heaven Pt. 1/2
Summary: Charlie's journey to heaven Word Count: idk like 700?? Charlie looked up and saw a road. It stretched out until it was taken by darkness, no end in sight. The night was empty accept for the occasional shift in the trees, creating a super creepy rustling sound. It seemed as though the sun had been down for some time, but there was no moon to be seen. When she first woke up there was nothing on the road, not even a stray branch. But now, when she turned around she saw the Impala. "What the frack?" She thought to herself. She walked around the car, her hand tracing the edge of the smooth metal. The jet black car was all but visible in the jet black night, which just added to the creepy feeling. She stepped into the car, and sat on the leather seat, it creaking under the weight. The creak echoed through the otherwise silent night as it fell through the trees. "I feel like I’m in an Edgar Allen Poe story," she thought to herself. This made her look up and quietly say aloud, "Well that can’t be good.” She didn’t exactly know why, but she started the ignition and drove down the road. She had only been driving for a few short minutes, when she passed a tree that looked oddly familiar. Putting the car in reverse, she got a major wave of déjà vu, and saw Sam sitting at the base of the tree. She got out of the car and cried, “Sam! Oh thank God… or something. Another expression I can’t use because of the Winchesters. What’s going on?” Sam looked up and smiled, saying, “Ooh good, you brought some refreshments!” She looked down and only then noticed that she was holding two beers. “How did I… wait, I remember this,” She said aloud, “This is the day we found this that gnarly old tree and talked about—“ “I’m telling you,” Sam chuckled, “Hobbits definitely stub their toes more than humans! Their feet are so much bigger, and they don’t even wear shoes. You cannot convince otherwise.” “But they’re so much lighter on their feet!“ Charlie replied, laughing. “Gandalf even said so, and you can’t get a better source than good ol’ Gandalf.” "I remember this," she whispered to herself, "This was that night we needed some air because Dean was sleeping… wait… Dean. The Mark. The Book of the Damned. The Stynes…", "Hm,” she said aloud. “So this is what it’s like to be dead, huh?” She looked up expecting to see Sam, but her gaze was instead met by a stream. She wasn’t sure when it changed from night to day, or from a road to a stream, but it looked as though it was there the whole time. Now understanding what was going on, she laughed as she looked at the memory in front of her. A tear caught her eye as she remembered her first Hobbit convention. There were about 15 people around her, including her girlfriend, Ally. It was a convention tradition the get in a barrel and go down the river, just like the Hobbits did. It was her first time, and when she stepped in, the barrel dodged to the left causing her to fall in, laughing. She got in the barrel and as she traveled further downstream, the image changed, yet again When the new reality unfolded before her, a smile grew on her face as her face grew hot, and her eyes moist. She was 10 years old, and sitting in front of her TV with a bowl of tomato soup, her favorite. She was watching Doctor Who as her mother braided her hair, her strong fingers gently selecting groups of hair one at a time, offering Charlie much comfort. Once her mother had finished, and thrown the braid over Charlie’s shoulder (as she always did), Charlie stood up, and embraced her mom. “Thanks mommy,” She recited as she had all those years ago, “You’re the best.” She looked up into her mother’s eyes as she heard in return, “Love you, sweetie.” Then, a bright light appeared. It was small at first, but as it got larger, Charlie took notice. She felt a strong attraction to it, like a moth to a flame, or Harry to Ginny. This last thought made her smile as she walked forward. After she had become completely enveloped in what seemed like pure energy, the white started to fade, and she found herself in front of a man with ripped-off sleeves and a Joe Dirt haircut. He extended out his hand and said, “Hey, I’m Ash. Welcome to Heaven.”
