Met a nice smurf on Overwatch tonight. Watched my team lose their heads for a game and then got paired with the smurf the next game. Hmm
Tbh, to redeem Overwatch, they need to add a gamemode that increases team size to like 12. The fun of tf2 was knowing that no one was really working together and while like maybe half the team played for the objective, the other half just fucked around across the map. But that made it fun! Everyone could just fuck around and there were enough people to do so. The revamped 1v1 and 3v3 gamemodes prove that overwatch is trying to prove itself as a skill-based mmo, where good players carry games and dedication to mastering a character is the ultimate goal. I want!! To pick any character!!! And just fuck around sometimes!!!! Every gamemode, even Skirmish, focuses players and rewards them for skill, and from skill youre supposed to derive enjoyment. Look at the "fun" characters like mccree, tracer, sombra, and genji. All require a fair amount of practice and natural skill to play and therefore be fun to play anywhere. But they have the most unique playstyles and kits! Its hard for some inexperienced player to just pick them up and be successful with them. Worst, teammates almost always want you to switch because of the small player pool, one person in a teamfight can literally make all the difference. Overwatch had great beginnings as a party game that you could play with your friends for the first time, but now its just proving to be another skill-oriented fighting game. Rant over
Also, im going to laugh if orisa's kit compliments bastions really well cause then theyd be like the unstoppable power couple. Deployable shield? For the bastion. Ability to move enemies? Welcome to bastion line of sight. Bots looking out for bots, thats all I could have ever wanted in life
And yall thought bastion would be unshippable... im really hoping theres a voice line between the two where orisa greets and compliments bastion and he just responds with a lot of flustered beeping
*wakes up* McCree with reading glasses
so yesterday I was playing overwatch with a couple friends and someone in chat said: “commit ceiling rope”
normally I don’t have at suicide jokes but that one caught me so off guard
I’m still cackling about it
