So, my fellow Mileven and El fans, I'm crowdsourcing suggestions of where exactly El could have ended up in hiding for my fic. I'm down for ideas of where in Iceland, but would also accept options in Canada that would work (primarily because it would be easier for her to get to Canada than Iceland or Northern Europe, but I can come up with a plausible way she'd get there).

So if anyone has any thoughts to aid me in my research, I'm happy to take them because I'm floundering just a wee bit.

I like the contrast in how Old Xian brings back the childhood of Jian Yi and Xixi while bringing out the “adulthood” (the sexual tension) in TianShan relationship. And it’s consented. It’s reciprocal. Beautiful.

Am I surprised with this kiss? Hell yea. Is it totally unexpected? Not really. Do I think Old Xian will bliss the fandom with this this early? Hell no. Do I like it? I fucking love it.

Sadly this kiss and Jian Yi’s grandpa showing up are a signal of a whole mess in no time. It’s okay I have been waiting for long.

His mother Pascale is a hairdresser in Monaco. David Coulthard tells a great story of how he was getting his haircut in Monaco, and the hairdresser said to him, “Where are you going this weekend?” I forget which grand prix it was.

Anyways, at that grand prix, DC is walking through the paddock and he sees his hairdresser. He goes over to her and says, “What the heck are you doing here?” She was like: “Well, I had a paddock pass and I thought I’d come in and have a wander around.”

He said: “Yeah, but why are you here?” And she said: “Oh, my son is racing.”

DC said: “Who is your son?” She said: “It’s Charles Leclerc.”

[...] She had never mentioned it. At all. Very, very grounded. And I think that comes across from Charles. You don’t get the opinion of an over-inflated ego there. Quite the contrary. He seems to be only too happy to admit when he screws things up.

You just got the sense from the various people quoted that Ferrari absolutely love Charles Leclerc. From Mattia Binotto, Jock Clear, Piero Ferrari... even his teammate Carlos Sainz.

[Carlos] was talking in great terms about this guy that he’s gotten to know as his teammate this year. As a yardstick, basically. Sainz basically said that this guy is phenomenal and there is no one who can drive a Ferrari better than him. So the closer he gets and the better he does, the better he feels about himself. There’s almost no greater compliment than that.
