Umm. I dunno if this is allowed so forgive me if this isnt the right place but Ive recently seen a lot of hate for “collectives who think they can swap/trade headmates with other collectives”

does anyone know the ropes of that discussion? I know nothing about either side and I’m very confused, is it possible to do that or not? and regardless of that is it really that big of a deal if some collectives are trying? I dont know why it would be problematic, even if it seems impossible to another collective ..

im just overall very confused bc ive never even seen anyone trying to do that and even if so why would someone unrelated even care..?

I’m not well-informed on that subject so I just think that a good rule of thumb with plural stuff is that if you don’t understand someplurals’ origin labels or plurality-related practices, then mind your own business and don’t send hate their way.

i’m literally terrified to tell anyone i’m plural because of the hate campaign against us and the “you’re faking” crowd online even though i literally have an OSDD diagnosis.. i haven’t even told my mom, brother, or friends.

and even if i didn’t have an official diagnosis it doesn’t mean anything !

also the fear of backlash and no one believing me because half of our system is fictives and to some people that automatically means “fake”

Honestly i like that this blog exists because i have had multiple experiences with pluralphobia/misia (and this probably counts as fictomisia too)

- being told im rcta / transrace on the basis of my source as a fictive being a black man. (I am also accused of wanting to be said black man because of the fact he’s my oc…?)

- being told i have “tiktok osdd” because i suspect i have the disorder and just happen to have a lot of fictives

- experienced an incident where while another headmate of mine fronted the person who had been fakeclaiming me (same guy as all the previous things listed btw) harassed them into leaving front. When they stopped fronting due to said harassment this person saw it as “Joseph (me) stopped putting on the act of being a different alter”

Some of these are DID-exclusive I think (some places strip people of their drivers license if they have a DID diagnosis), but, like, do you genuinely think someone who was “talking to themself” in a public place and got mental health services called on them would just be allowed to walk away scot-free just because their system didn’t come from trauma? Because that is blatantly not true. Also I can literally attest to going to an ER with symptoms of a head injury/minor concussion and them immediately assuming I was psychotic from my behavior, giving me a “five senses grounding worksheet” rather than real help, and then sending me home with the assumption I was just mentally ill.

Also lowkey transphobic by claiming that being unable to use your preferred name in the workplace isn’t a form of discrimination. If it’s discrimination when transgender people are forced to go by their deadname in order to keep their jobs, then it’s discrimination when headmates in plural systems (including endogenic plural systems) are forced to go by the host’s name in order to keep their jobs. No two ways about it.

I’m sure this will come as a shock to absolutely no one, but the account that posted this also has a bunch of posts defending “narcissistic abuse” as a real concept and using “narcissist” as a synonym for abuser. Go figure. Ableist account is ableist. In other news the sky was blue today.

The coments in my mostly unaligned discord server being "Endogenic is a term that was made to describe someone who has DID/OSDD without trauma, so i am against endogenic systems. Anyone who says “thats not what endogenic means” doesn't know where the term originated from", and "Some people may consider me endo" followed by "You have significant trauma so I do not know how." Am i being insane or is this phobic???
