Hello! Welcome to This Is Pluralphobia, the blog which archives examples of pluralphobia/pluralmisia
How Does This Work?
Simply put your experience (or the experience of someone you know) with pluralphobia in the ask box. Examples of pluralphobia in the media also work too
If you’ve got questions about things or are trying to learn stuff, we’ll try to direct you to some good resources. We don’t really have the energy to be an educator right now, just an archivist
We do not do callout posts here, sorry. We also don’t do debates here either
Dictionary:
Pluralphobia/misia: The discrimination and prejudice against plurals
Fictophobia/misia: The discrimination and prejudice against fictionfolk, which includes fictionkind, fictionhearted, fictives, etc.
Sanism: The discrimination and prejudice against those who have, or are perceived to have, mental disorders or cognitive impairment
Endopluralphobia/endopluralmisia: The discrimination and prejudice against endogenic plurals
Anti-polymindence: The discrimination and prejudice against polyminds
Polymindence: A similar community to plurality, consisting of individuals who identify their sub-personalities as unique individuals. Not every polymind considers themself to be plural, but I’m happy to include polyminds in this blog anyway.
About Us:
This blog is run by one system. We are supportive of all types of systems here!!! If you’re going to be mean, we will block you
Our inspirations for making this blog are @this-is-varsexism-transphobia, who we really like and wanna shout out, and this-is-transandrophobia, who was a huge inspiration but we do not like anymore (link)
Side note: we use the terms “pluralphobia” and “pluralmisia” interchangeably. They both refer to the discrimination and prejudice against plurals, but some prefer the suffix -misia to avoid confusion with medical phobias
