I’ve been going to see a therapist recently

I’ve put it off for years. Partly because I didn’t think I deserved the help, partly because I didn’t want to find out something else was wrong with me and partly because when I did want to get help my insurance made it impossible.

My insurance here is much better about paying for therapy and my school’s health center helped me find a good one off campus

Some days I can’t sleep at night and when I do I have these god awful nightmares. Other days I spend the whole day in bed and can’t find the energy to do anything. And its been really bad recently

I told them about my first semester at college. I told them that in a span of about 4 months, I lost 3 people.

They were all around midterm and finals time, I didn’t have time to mourn them. They were gone but I was still here, I had a future to think of and this school was going to chew me up and spit me out. I’m here on a scholarship, I can’t afford bad grades.

They told me that that was why I was reacting so strongly a year on out. People who have had their time to mourn will still react strongly, after all it’s only been a year. I didn’t have a fucking chance, what with my poor coping skills.

Imagine that, its only been a year since two of my friends and my uncle died. And its been almost five years since another of my one of my friends died. 

When is it supposed to stop hurting? Am I going to reach a moment where I’m going to pass this part of the year without remember them? Or is it going to be like when I have to make it through the day with a headache, dull and achy but ignorable for the most part?

So I found out that I can download PDFs on my iPad of books. Like normal books. Lord of the rings, eragon, mortal instruments. Is it wrong? I mean. I own the paper versions. But like. Now they're more mobile.
