      not many people take their exes makeup shopping and offer to pay, but she misses spending money on her, she misses using her boxing money on others. it burns a hole in her pocket--she could do a lot of things, save up to visit home, save up for a car, save up for a better apartment. but she doesn’t. she wants to buy katya sephora. it’s not because she’s in love with her, rather--she’s quite fond of her in a platonic way. she doesn’t regret their relationship, because it gave her a little bit a clear, middle ground for her life. she’s been more talkative with people since then, and she’s felt a lot better. even if the breakup stung. even if it made her break her hand. why not do something to make her happy? she's a person who deserves it. allegra likes spending time with her, likes still being able to talk to her without it feeling as awkward as most exes make it. she's okay with it.
