I realized something incredibly funny. You know how literally every unit in this game is having their current arcs dragged out except for Vivid BAD SQUAD?
It's because of the 6th Anniversary age-up. If you were there, you may remember that right before the 3rd Anniversary age-up, some units had Arc Ender events that felt rushed. This was the most egregious in the case of Vivid BAD SQUAD, in which Touya4 and Akito4 were both skipped in favor of Kohane4. This only happened because VBS were the last unit to end their first arc (at the end of their 2nd rotation) and therefore begin their second arc, due to their slower arc structure compared to the other units in the game.
So in order to prevent this from happening again, Colorful Palette likely decided to shorten their plans, so that no unit would end up with a rushed Arc Ender event before 6th Anniversary. However, they obviously swung too hard the opposite way, because now literally every unit except Vivid BAD SQUAD is suffering for it. Leo/need and Wonderlands x Showtime are suffering with filler events, Kanade6 was way too short and felt like part of it was cut for padding, and Airi7 focuses on a side plot that has nothing to do with MORE MORE JUMP!'s current high-stakes goal of winning the LUMINA GRAND PRIX.
Meanwhile, Vivid BAD SQUAD is clearly set to have their Arc Ender be the finals of RUSH BEATS, given what we know about An7 right now.
This game's planning is a mess.
