my point here is that charles has a rare trait in a formula 1 driver and that is something called perseverance. he has taken and he has witnessed horrors another driver would never even dream of and yet he wakes up every day and thinks it's a new chance to achieve a dream and he's not doing this as a fake little joke
he genuinely and deeply believes that ferrari one day will give him the car and he has clearly seen something in the past year to convince him that it's coming soon and if you're not on board for that you can fuck off idk
