a jean jacket layered a flannel, which layered a crew neck ‘NEU’ sweatshirt on the gaunt blonde’s body, as she strolled towards the college’s infamous stadium. it was a brisk thirty-four degrees in hartford but chandler didn’t mind, she liked the cold. it reminded her of her late father, who would never be found inside during a snow storm and would always pull chan out to run around and have a laugh. lots of things reminded her of him-- hot chocolate, football, fresh snow, or when someone gets that slight childish glimmer in their eyes when they got excited about something. a meager smile creeped up on chandler’s rosy lips at the thought of him. as she made it to the bleachers, she heard the heavy breathing and soles of shoes hitting the rubber from the track of classmates getting their daily run in. running wasn’t what chan was there for, no, she was there for fresh air and somewhere to relax her mind. plopping down on an empty bleacher near the top, she grabbed her leather journal accompanied by a pen and headphones. flipping through worn down paper she finally landed on a blank page and started scribbling her thoughts, getting lost in them. she was so deep in reflection that she didn’t even notice someone sit down next to her, until a finger lightly tapped on her shoulder, making her jump. “ damn, warn a girl before you sneak up on her next time! ”
