Biana Vacker

Biana is undoudebly hyper aware of her postion. She holds a high postion socialy and she knows, she also knows that if she werent a Vacker she would be at the bottom rank due to being a third child. She seems to be the most overlooked of the three Vacker children. Her eldest brother manged to get a high ranking career and her second eldest brother is considerd a perfect elf, giving her large shoes to fill even outisde of added scruitey from being the thrid child of her family.

Her pride in her appearence and how good shes at using and how earlie she got her powers is, proably because she knows her postion is the most unstable, therefor she needs to be secure in her behaviour and that her behaviour must be able to be clearly interpreted. Bianas confidence comes from ensuring that she dose not fall to the way side due to being a third child. But her awarness likely dosen't creat a strong sense of paronoia because she is a) used to this feeling and can mange it, b) has confidence in her abilites to stand as an indivuall and has probaly adjusted pretty well and c) knows her standing is the least stable and that she needs to make it clear she is not lesser.

Ofcourse moments of insecruitey can be seen, especially in how she lashes out at Sophie or holds herself in distance to people with less social status, but these things fade with maturitey. While she seems to potentialy struggle with reaching when something is wrong, she is able to sort through her emotions and come to conclusions on how she schould act without much guidance. She is likely haunted by the knowledge that she would be a stain on any family that wasn't the vackers by being a third child. Causing a need to prove herself.

Biana seems to be very strong willed, despite her pride in her appearnce, after she becomes scared it dose not take long for her to wear things that show her scars, despite the strong negative stigma sorounding scars-as they relate to being harmed. This is partially done as an assurance to people who lack the unshakable ground of being a Vacker and are more likely to be shamed for this.

Dex Dizznee

Dex is strongly aware of the oppression in elven socitey, with his father being talentless and having trippled siblings, people he cares deeply for, get vied as lesser. He has anger towards this injustice but knows he can not be fortright with it. His postion as someone who is part of a "bad" family makes it so, that socialy he is at the bottom.

Dex knows he is justifed in his anger and belife that things need to change, but he accidently causes a rift between himself and others, likely always asssuming they think negativly of him from the start. While this is not an unfair assumption to make because of the strong predjecude towards bad matches, this would likely make him stand offish to anyone who tires to approach him. Another time we see this happen is in his hatred for Sophies friendship with the Vackers early on, this is fair in a way, Fitz has only show him disrespect (calling him Deck) and Biana likely has also only ignored him. Obviously this dosen't mean he was right in lashing out at Sophie who dose not understand the social complexites yet, but he was young and knows it wasn't truely fair to Sophie, even if the anger was justified.

I like to belive that he and Biana mange to bond over the knowledge that they are not accepteble memebers of their society, by being the third child and the child of a bad match. I belive this is why Dex holds Biana in less contempt then Fitz, because she has a better grasp on the injsutuce that Fitz has likely never had to consider.

It seems that despite Dexs lack of social circle at the start of the series he is activly quite social, interacting alot with most of the people, wanting to interact and help, and commenting on things. (Hacking the files with Keefe, sassing with Stina and having a clear friendship with Biana). This is likely because he is no longer as paroniod about being seen for his own mertis rather then as the result of a "bad match", due to a postive reception to many of the people in Sophies cricle. He likely still instictivly avoids people he dosen't know assuming they will insult him or his family once they find out.

Fitz Vacker

Fitz like the rest of the Vackers is not quite stable. Fitz is functionaly the perfect elf. Family with consitently powerful indivuals, his gentics are good, well acustomed and intune with elven culture, requring it even(Expecting the engament ball as a way to intiat dating), he is incredbily skilled, smart and has a high social standing and knows to avoid being around the people who fail to meet requriments. As a result of being "the perfect elf", he likely never properly analyzed his feelings to a situation. It can be difficult to put yourself in others shoes especially when blinded by privelge.

This is where it becomes obvious that Fitz lacks relationship, his best friend is an indivual he knows little about, and who in turn knows little about him. Fitz, while an elven golden boy is not very social, only realy spending time with Keefe, Sophie and his family, even after branching out and making new friends. He lacks the abilety to connect to others, and likely idealzes most of the people he spends time with, accidently creating rifts by making the people unatanible to themselfs. This is seen when Sophie sees herself on a pedestal in Fitzes mind, something that makes her activly want to avoid Fitz do to not being able to messuer up, something others could subconsciously pick up on and cause them to avoid him.

He has grand ideas of his future, imagine it to be a perfect elven futrue, and in a way lacks the abilty to reach out do to that. His life is set and he feels no need to branch out.

Which is why his anger issues come on so strong. He belives knows how things are supposed to be, the sudden lose of this security, of this promised luxery can be incredibly frustrating causign people to lash out, especially if they have never had to deal with the processing of such emotions. The sudden coma his father enterd is a situation that was likely far from the realm of possibilitey, especially because elfs aren't used to any form of loss. He goes through a complex scenario, while having a smal support network -his family who is also in mourning-, while not knowing how to work through more complex feelings (His siblings are not in the same postion to not being prime examples by elven standards. His brother is older and more used to complex feelings due to being outshined by Fitz and is already unstable, Biana seems to have actuall friends she can speak with, while also having practise with complex emotion by being the socialy forgotten Sibling) .

In the case of anger issues, they can be difficult to deal with, since to others who don't feel anger as strongly they do not know how to respond. In Fitz case, he likely has never had to deal with or take apart his strong anger issues as he has had little to agrevate him, so despite his age he has little to no exprience with his anger issues and simply sets them assside once the secanrio is over. This dose not solve the anger, it instead lets it simmer subconsiously, unless he is confronted with his anger more frequently he will not get a hold of it, without help from people who can deal with something like that.¹

Keefe Sencen

Keefe is a very social person, who clearly craves interaction and dose not shy away from it, but fears deeper more meaningfull conections due to failing to have them as a child, and his parents odd releationship to him. His coping therefor is to avoid, manily be using words to divert, but this is also seen when he runs away complety from elven socitey. His coping behaviours are unhealty and leave him with the inabilety to properly introspect about his issues.

Elven society is in dissaray, elven socitey has always been flawed, he knows this, he may not feel the feel the extrem stigma towards non first or second brone children, multiple briths or being talentless. The cracks he expriences it the elven refusal to see under flaws. There is the solid belive amongt elfs that they are intrinscally good, the Heks family or an anomaly, but Keefe is likely more aware of the crulety elfs posses because of his parents. His parents consitenly emotionaly neglected him. The elf don't see this as abuse, and see as physcial abuse to be nearly impossbiable due to violence fracturing minds, causing them to neglect victems and people suffering. It is built into their society to not belive a victem, since elfs can't handle violence.

Keefe, due to lacking any solid relationship with his parents dose not know how to interact with adults. Being unable to interact with authroties and show them respect, which also goes to his peers. He may not activly mean harm or actually not respect them but his behaviour is "asocial", causing people, to avoid him, despite being of high renow because they do not know how to behave around him. He is incredibly asocial in an attempt to aovid conecction and because he dosen't feel like he can trust anyone or be trusted himself. (E.g Refusing to let Tam read him, likely out of paronoia it would be overwhelmingly bad)

Linh Song

Linh seems to struggle with deep self hatred and insecurity at the beginning. Likely blaming herself and her diffucilty controlling her power on getting not just her but her brother punished. She holds trauma around water after the incedent when she was younger, having panic attacks despite it being her natrual enviroment in a sense.

It is implied that indivudals with talents that pertain to the elements of nature are emotionaly depended or tied to it². Which is likely why we see a drastic change so quickly once she becomes comfroble with water, not hesitating to reach out and interact with people (see her friend group) and how she now asserts herself rather then withdrawing and letting others take care of sitiations. She is no longer strugeling and avoidign a huge part of herself (water) and can now actually take the actions she wants to.

Linh seems to, simarly to Tam, be resentful and hold onto things. But is used to holding her toung due to her fear of causign another incedent. She has gottent over her fear but still knows when not to speak, or she is simply used to not reacting and instead holds onto those emotions quitely. Eg. bringing up Tams distrust and disresepect of the crew.

Marella Rednek

Marella, while very social and in tune with social behaviours seems to be not very aware of peoples negative reactions. She fails to put herself in others shoes which causes conflict. She is incredbily determend to prover her worth. Marella is very self assured, having not qualms about being pyrokentic and not worrying about cuasing destruction untold with it.

Tam Song

Tam is deeply antisocial, always on edge because of being cast out by his aprents and the deep stigma that comes with being a twin. Additonaly, Linh was far more fraglie as a child due to her powers, it's not uncommon for siblings, consiously or subconsily to pick up where there is slack, stepping in for the other person a providing a sort of shield, being close in age makes the effect even stronger, since they have their expirences together and at the same time.

Bening a Shade is simply further stigma for Tam, one that likely effects him little since he is already antiscoial and it wasn't a stigma that effected and worrsed Linhs state. Tam seems to find comfort in being a shade. Growing up at the receving end of stigma has trained him (like Dex) to always have his hackles up, in his case esepcially the mentailty of bite the hand before it has the chance to hit you is very obvious. He avoids people and is highly distrustfull of then, rather then get punsihed for who he is, a twin, a shade, again. This is where being a Shade is inceredbily usefull to him, being able to read a persons chance to do good must be incredibly comforting when most people mean you harm, in some way or another. This is not a perfect system, as seen with Sophie, where her "neutralness" makes him distrust full of her for a long time, or in the case of Keefe, where it's impolite to read someones dicotomy without premission but Keefe forbids it from happing, bredding strong distrusst and animosity between both parties & Glimmer who he seems to trust with less consideration because of the absence of "bad vibes".

Despite how strongly anti- & asocial Tam is, he is show to be rather considert and seems to value other peoples well being. While traped by the Neverseen he refuses to share even an inkling with the others, not matter what to avoid any harm coming to them. He show Glimmer alot of support when she switches side, insiting that she can be trusted despite not knowing her very well. And in how he trys to hinder Keefe falling to harm and cheking in on Keefe afterwards despite the large rift between them. Part of his protecitvness likely stems from growing up and having to protect Linh, now that he dose that less because Linh has found strength in herself it would be no suprisse to see this intense focouse on other individuals. Especially since Shades seem to be considerd as rather instense, and him spending alot of his time being a protective figur it would make sense for him to have a sort of fixation on protecing others.³

Sophie Foster

Growing up with humans has had a strong effect on Sophie and her interactions with the world. She seems to either have comsumed alot of media and/or have been activ online. Considering her very strong reaction to the word probing she likely watched alot of SciFi or horror movies. comics book- media shed know -

She is likely almost horrfiingly desenesitzed to blood by elven standards. Much to the concern of the adults around her, because by elfs avoid blood and seemingly avoid spilling it. Elven children are also less clumsy and likely don't have accidents that would cause blood, strenghting the blood avoidance. Sophie has little proplem with blood, human children get cuts all the time, she has probaly cut her fingers peeling or cutting vegtables before. As well as steaks are sometimes served bloody so she could seen blood through thoese methods as well. Additonaly with her being someone who consumes alot of media, like movies that are more violent she proably has seen alot of fake blood spilled. Grady and Edaline are horrifed to find out she has pirced her own skin (has earings) and that this was not only allowed by her human parents but she considerd getting more.

Sophie is highly uncomfotorble with presenting very feminin, due to it being something that brought attention in the human world. She is far used to less femining siloutes and clothing and feels uncomfotorble and more nervous in feminin clothing. While she gets more aclimated to it (MatchMaking Office dress), she still shows avoidance to it. The very strong feminin sillutes elven women wear for important events make her deeply uncomfrotble, since they are attention grabbing and might cause people to take her less seriously.

Sophie Fosters is an anxious, parnoid, very inteligent indivual. The exact type of person who would suffer from imposter syndrom, especially after being highly sucessfull at human school, being offerd a sholarshop to yale at 12 years old. This has all very quickly bruned away, she barely passed her first year of school at Foxfire and still struggles greatly with theese classes, it would be unrealistic if she didn't spend nights lieing away tears already dried on her cheecks because, oh no, she wasn't smart after all, she's just an idiot who can do nothing and will never be good at anything ever again. Or alterantivly she could feel a vidiv hatred towards herself, because her inabilty to do things like chatch wind in a glass is because of her eidetic memory remindign her of every single pyhsics class she has ever taken, and how embarissing it is that she can't get over herself and let go of science she knows is wrong. While also struggeling with letting go of yet another part of her life as a human because she has already lost so much, in how she dresses and what music she listens to, consuming media and how she can no longer, see or speak to her family, or participate in the family traditons.

We see how Sophie almost PingPongs from very social to anti social behaviour, goging out of her way to interact with people and make friends (i.e insiting on befirending Tam&Lihn) and months later avoiding all her firends. This stems in part of her lack in knowledge of how to creat long term friendships do to being a loner. Additonaly she's quite anxious, holding many regrets about bringing people into such a chaotic, dangerous life, causing her to avoid them. But her constant paranoia causes her to partially analzye people on their use, (i.e. Lihn&Tam), this is not crulltey on her end, but instead a side effect of constanly having to plan for sucess. This analyzing of people around her shows her flawed social thinking, something that hinders her interactions as she overthinks them and fails at upholding friendships on her end (e.g. Biana&Dex, Marella)

Sophie has some Anxitey/Paronoia, constanly worrying about her loved ones and the future. She constanly tears out her lashes and dose not share things about herself, worring that it will hurt peoples feelings are reach someone who schouldn't know. This also is in part of a result of her human upbringing. Constantly knowing what people things have gotten her feelings hurt (her mother whishing she was like Amy) and she was used to always knowing what someone think, and suddenly she dose not know what the people across for her actually think of her. Sophie is also isolated because of her behaviour, makeing it hard for her to trust people outside her family since she is unfamilar with having realtionships with others.

The moment the dust settles Sophie will proably go through the stages of grief, never properly haven been given the chance to grive the loss of her previous life or the things and people she lost on the way.

Stina Heks

Proably the most normal (by human standards), she may be rude and snobish, but those things are rather typical charachter traits, esepecialy for younger indivuals who come from high renown (THE unicorn breeding family). Additonaly I am fully conviced she would be an absloute tattle tale. *

Wylie Endal

Wylie Endal is undoutebly a increbily angry invidvual, this was seen briefly in his anger towards Sophie for his fathers mind break. It would be no suprisse to learn he harbours deep resenment to the council and everyone involed with his fathers mind break. Forgiving Sophie in the end because he is mature and understand that she had no part in what lead up to his fathers shattering, but that dose not mean the anger is gone, what it means is that he has proably put more thought into who is at fault and liekly strengthing the anger he might feel towards the council. This is once again where is maturety and age would come in, he knows its unwise to show this anger openly. Both his parents where shut from his life at a younger age, he even witnessted his mothers death himself. These would cause emotions like grief or additonal anger at the injustice of it all, since elfs are supposed to live forever. It is unlikely that he has ever properly went throught the emotions, since grief, death and deep seated anger or resentment seem to be distant and tabu topics for elfs.

He, being the adult of the group is obviously the most mature, and despite resement he might carry is quite level headed in his approach of people who might upset him. While it might cause complex feelings for him that his cousing is best friends with the person who functionally executed his father, and is also activly working with them, there is no indcation given that he harbours resenment to Biana for that. Likely having processed how to not misplace his anger on the people related to the people involeved whith his fathers memorys break, not to say he might not feel akward being around Biana (or Fitz).

Having lost two of the most important people in his life at an early age has strongly effected him. He is quite protecive of the people he loves (e.g trying to stop Maruca from getting involed), and shows deep care towards them. He clearly make sure to keep up with them, as seen by how he tell Linh what Team Valiant has been doing.

The resentment he likely feels towards the councile has probaly cuased him to disect eleven social culture and norms with consideration towards outlier groups, after likely feeling the force of being seen as weird for grieving. Tam, Linh, Dex and to a lesser exten Stina likely feel less on edge around him since he has proably disected and gotten ride of his predjuces & notions about Twins, Bad Matches and the word of mouth of the Heks being rude and very unfriendly
