Happy Birthday to Tsitsi  Dangarembga! 

Born in what is now Zimbabwe, Dangarembga has a deep passion for telling stories that need to be told. While the University of Zimbabwe, she joined the dram club and wrote plays because "there were simply no plays with roles for black women" so she wrote them. Her first novel, Nervous Conditions, was included in the 2018 list of Top 100 Books that Shaped the World. She hasn't stopped there either! Dangarembga has worked in film since the 1980s to continue to tell her stories.
