Back to basics

I've still a month to go before I start college. It's time to dorm shop, college shop, get those last-minute lessons in, and do those last few string of summer performances with Kariktan before I say "hello" to a new lifestyle.

I love being in lala-land though. It's been a while since I've last visited it! (April Kairos, you were lovely, and your effects were even lovelier...)

I wish I could just walk over to the movie theater and catch a few flicks, eat dinner at a local restaurant, and come home with someone nice and relax the night away, whether it be catching summer TV, cooking it up, or jamming the night away. But that's wishful thinking.

If I could travel someplace, like go to the beach and pop a squat with a nice book, that'd be nice. Maybe even window-shopping in Paris. (Do they have window-shops in Paris?) But that's an even worse case of wishful thinking.

Spending time with new people, fresh faces, and keeping close to my loved ones and those who are like family to me, doing what I love, seeing new places, and still keeping time for what I like to do... Now that's quite enjoyable.

I can't find anything to do. I would practice driving, but there's nobody around who can at the moment. I would write and play music, but I'm too uninspired and lazy (and quite embarrassed if someone hears me). I would go out, but I've no means of transportation (hence the need to get my license).

All these "I would's", stop it and start doing already!

Yes, that's right. "Nobody's stopping you but yourself."

Lesson learned.
