there’s always a fandom that just never leaves u and for me it’s harry potter. I went to see the new movie with my gf, and while i despise johnny depp and some other aspects of the new saga, i cried when i heard The Music and saw hogwarts again.

I have a playlist called 'baby teenage angst' and it has all of that alternative music that I used to love (still my guilty pleasure). I have underestimated the power of nostalgia, it is not a wave, it is a shock to the system, the way music brings me back to where it all began. When I truly started learning, opening my eyes, making all the mistakes a little girl could make. But these voices and these lyrics makes me want to crawl back to that girl and cry and hold her, without a tear of sadness, just surprise at how much things have changed and haven't changed. Oh, how nothing matters but it all affects us.
