“That is a troll. They’re big and they’re fast. Not too smart though.” She replies and looks back at the other woman. “I can handle this on my own. You can wait here with Bruni, if you like.” She pats the fire spirt on the head. “The women trapped in that cottage needs me.”

( BASED ) so many nights on the job, devi wished that something, anything, would happen to make her not have to go to work. the gig sucks but she’s too prideful to quit, because it’s not often that women get hired as delivery people and she almost went off at her store manager for not considering her for the position. she got it, and now she’s going to quit? no.

but how much of that is going to matter if she doesn’t survive the night?

she already tried to fend them off by throwing a full box of pizza at them. but that only confirmed what devi already knew deep down, that these predators weren’t human. no human would pass up the chance to eat a pizza free of charge, but these dead-eyed freaks didn’t even look at the box. “hey! let me in! let me in,” devi yells, rings the doorbell frantically, pounds on the door of the huge house that ordered the pizza, where she is now attempting to seek refuge. “i’m going to get murdered by zombies! open the door!”
