favorite thing(s) you've learned from west wing weekly
oooh this is a fun ask, because I've been losing my mind over this podcast...
Apparently one Christmas after Josh Malina joined the show, the cast gifts for Christmas were bikes (West Wing branded bikes apparently) and Josh gave his to Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The Foul Game (trying to bump each other during a scene like getting a foul in basketball) until Thomas Schlamme made them stop - the worst perpetrators of the Foul Game were apparently Dulé and Allison.
(more under the cut because this podcast has made me crazy)
There are apparently two origin stories for the NSC card subplot in Crackpots; one is that Aaron heard about it from George Stephanopoulos, and that George was unhappy that he'd gotten one but other people he knew hadn't. The other (and one I like better) is that he heard about the NSC card from George, and then asked Dee Dee Myers and she'd said there was no such thing.
Abbey's dress in State Dinner was apparently called the "Cleavage Dress" and got a lot of backlash (which is ironic to me, because her dress in, say, The Wedding, is WAY more revealing...)
Apparently the CJ locked out of the loop subplot was also allegedly based on something that happened to Dee Dee.
