Ya’ll… I just found out I cannot major in Graphic design. RIP 😭 They’re transferring me in as a sophomore… They want me to retake the Graphic Design courses I already did cause their courses are “Harder.”
They shared their student portfolios with me. YA’LL I am not kidding when I say I have ALL of those skills. I also heard from someone who sucked it up and retook all the sophomore classes and they STILL got locked out of the junior courses. 😭💀
If I major in studio art instead, I’ll graduate in 3 semesters… So I’ll probably go that route and focus on Print Making and Photography. They said they would allow me to take Graphic Design courses as electives, but that’s about it. I’m so disappointed… But there is not much else I can do. I wish I would have known this ahead of time, because if I knew I was gonna be strictly Fine Arts again, I would have transferred to an actual art school or the other state college that has a better Fine Arts program. Live and learn I guess. 🤦♀️
