I literally expected to be soul crushing disappointed tonight! Who is this team?! LFGR 💙❤️🤍

So many times this series, I was like—ok, ok, this is it. It's over. It was a good season, but they can't possibly come back from this. I paced around my living room. And grumbled during intermission. And I was like I want to believe, BUT how can they do it? They can't possibly do it. Not again.

And then the New York Rangers, apparent bane of my sports existence, just KEPT COMING BACK??? Three times in a row??? I am not exaggerating when I tell you that I may have possibly broken my couch (more than it already was, let's be honest) because I JUMPED ON MY COUCH when Artemi scored last night. I cried??

I cry for all types of games, it seems.

This team. Seriously. I cannot possibly or properly explain how much I love this team. Truthfully, this might be my favorite team I've ever rooted for. Potential heart attacks and broken furniture aside, they are so much fun to watch. And it is so obvious how much THEY love EACH OTHER.

Chris was legit just lurking by the tunnel entrance yesterday waiting for Mika to finish his interview so they could hug and leave the ice together. Like??? I'm just supposed to be cool with that??

C'mon. C'MON.

I am so excited for the next series. I fully expect my heart to explode.

My Dad texted me while I was at work asking if I was watching the game. I was really scared because I had no idea what the score was and then he told me it was 8-1! Holy crap!! Don’t get me wrong I love when the first line is on fire (I mean they were Marchy got one and Pasta got a hat trick), but when the goals are spread out like tonight it makes me really happy! We’re more then just our first line! We got fucking depth!! Love it!!!! Lets kill it again tomorrow Bruins!!!

No but really if this isn't a fairy tale what is? They came so close last year only to lose in the most heart-breaking fashion - on their own turf, no less. Then many of the players had a gut-wrenching semi-final loss in the Euro last summer, when expectations to deliver were sky high. But instead of getting crushed under the weight of disappointment and defeat, they come out with a never-before-seen hunger and take not just the CL but pretty much everything! They've experienced loss and heartbreak, but that's what makes this success of theirs so much sweeter. I just can't with this team.
