cannot stop thinking about chris's shy hopeful "you'll be my dad again?" like goddddd

so okay. he went with his grandparents to get some space after a trauma. that's probably actually helpful at first. but then.. weeks start to go by and his dad hasn't come to get him or told chris he needs to come home. and then he starts to get inundated with snide little comments from his grandparents (who he also loves!!) insinuating eddie wasn't/couldn't be a good dad to him, which chris then interprets as them saying eddie doesn't want to be his dad anymore. which, in chris's mind is definitely a thing that happens sometimes right? like sometimes your mom decides she doesn't wanna be your mom anymore and just leaves in the middle of the fucking night. so here's this fourteen year-old thinking he literally drove yet another parent away and his grandparents aren't doing a fucking thing to dissuade him from that notion, in fact they're actively encouraging it!!!! like just when i thought i couldn't hate them any more than i already did..

Things got a little bit weird over on AO3 for me this week and it’s been unnerving. In fact, it was strange enough to make me lock my fic and comments section, which still feels extreme, given the fact that I literally have just one little fic on there.

But I love my fellow fic writers and one of my friends suggested when I told her about this that I should post here about what happened so that others are aware of the oddness…

I got this comment from a guest called Mary. They were asking questions about how I’d decided on the themes of my fic. I responded about a week later (got a tiny bit carried away. Just a tiny bit. I did ramble. But it was fun to talk about where it came from because, three years in, I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed writing that original one shot).

Anyway, they replied with this:

Weird, right? It reads strangely, doesn’t it?

Was thinking of blocking them, but then I felt bad because I’m a people pleaser with heaps of Catholic guilt (I should probably go back to therapy about that…)

Anyway, I ignored the warning alarm in my head and played along, replying that I hang around on Tumblr or in the Wilmon Fanfics subreddit (if you’re not AI robot Mary, feel free to drop by the sub! It’s cute!☺️).

They then hide all of our conversation (or maybe AO3 did? Can AO3 do that?) and leave a link to their Tumblr in the comments.

The first thing on their blog?

Sooo yeah. Peculiar.

I don’t know if ‘Mary’ is human and a bit strange or AI and weirdly targeting my tiny fic, but I locked everything after that because this made my tummy flip in the bad way.

Am I being a bit dramatic? Probably! But I’m not really sure what would have happened next. It all seems a little bit off.

What would you do? Did I overreact? Is Mary just looking for a pal? Is it a scam?

today i bring an unedited pic in Esports Gamer Pose™ + some ramblings below on cyberpunk, VP and PC hardware

apparently the 2.31 cyberpunk update changed how the game handles some things like shaders and DOF in photomode and since my GPU is pretty mid-to-low/old [a basic GTX 1660] every single time I try taking pictures it's a CTD russian roulette i am always curious what PC setup would be the ideal for VP with a ton of mods like i like to play... if you are reading this and you have a beefy PC that can handle mods, ray/pathtracing, rendering scenes/blender, what is your setup like? what do you think made the MOST difference (i am from a 3rd world country where tech is very expensive, so i would like to be smart in my upgrade logic)

everytime you see my V here lately, know it took some great digital sacrifice to the blackwall AI gods (and at least a couple of "gooooood morning night cityyyy" like some mantra in my earphones)

all is worth it tho 'cause i have been loving building her character design and lore and i have many outfits and headcanons to share

A very long time ago, my mother-in-law mentioned that Justin used to skate so quickly and without much finesse and as such would trip over the blue line. And something in my brain just went: oh. And then I...wrote, like, a million words. And got people to like hockey? And spent most of my mid to late-20s writting about this fictional hockey team with their kids and their kids' kids and people made art and I made spotify playlists and it was, like, my little safe space of happiness and found family and an absolute excess of love that I could just dive into whenever I needed it and then life happened and I haven't written in forever and we moved and @ohmightydevviepuu asked me for my address because she bound totbl by hand! Five volumes! They're named for periods! She wrapped them in laces! And I gave her the wrong addresss because we just.moved but all five (!!!) volumes got here and I actually cried and ran around our new house because it's been years and literally almost a million words, but this is my whole fandom soul and all five (!!!) volumes are going in our new reading room.

I’m rewatching NBC Chuck and I have a hard time believing Sarah is wayyyy out of Chuck’s league.

I mean, Chuck is fit (yeah, the Nerd Herd shirt doesn’t fit him, but anytime he wears something else, he’s really handsome), and he is absolutely adorable. He’s kind, intelligent, charming, compassionate…

Chuck is a catch and you can’t convince me otherwise.
