the fight on the rooftop before the first games - this is such an important moment for understanding them individually and as a couple. and the tension is amazing. and interesting.

the then i’ll just have to fill in the blanks myself ... because sir excuse me. that was crazy. my tween self found dead and in love.

the specifics of the beach kiss - the intimacy of it all (yes the movie sucked the life out of it). the finger on lips, peeta trying to talk while katniss keeps kissing him, them tangled up together. YES!

THIS THING - sometimes when i’m alone, i take the pearl from where it lives in my pocket and try to remember the boy with the bread, the strong arms that warded off nightmares on the train, the kisses in the arena. to make myself put a name to the thing i’ve lost. but what’s the use? it’s gone. he’s gone. whatever existed between us is gone. all that’s left is my promise to kill snow. i tell myself this ten times a day.

+ the sentence on the night i feel that thing again, the hunger that overtook me on the beach, i know this would have happened anyway is everything to me. it's so romantic, it's so erotic, it's so gentle and so evocative. end me.
