My candles are all pretty much done and I'm too broke to get new ones 😭. The tests today were not as bad as I expected them to be but that's what I said last time and I was proven very very badly wrong, so we'll see.

I read the title of the first picture as menstruation and had like war flashbacks or something from last month lmao. Also I have returned to good old bitter, unmilky coffee which has been missed dearly. Been struggling to fit in journalling time these days but it's worth it when I can.

I've been watching a lot of Merve's study with me videos on YouTube and they're really helping me stay on task (except obviously when JK went live at 12am and I dropped everything for him)

In other news I haven't used blue pen in a while and I can't tell if I like it or not yet. Chemistry is slowly taking over my entire life and I hate it. Also the coffee stains are just part of ~the aesthetic~

Wow mans needs to chill with the organics, he's got me pulling out the post-its and everything. Really really worried for the upcoming tests, but I'm trying to just ouch through until the weekend.

A tmi for you it's my grandfather's one year death anniversary tomorrow and I still... don't feel anything??? That sounds terrible, but I didn't know him very well and we live in different countries. Obviously I wasn't happy when he passed, but I wasn't devastated either... am I terrible human being? What if I'm a psychopath??? Just kidding I'm overthinking. Unless....?

Food, notes, calculations, repeat is currently the cruise mode that my life is on. All my candles are pretty much done at this point but i'm too broke (and cheap) to get new ones.

And don't be fooled, my friends, these cinnamon donuts are the cheapest I could find in store. Not that they're any less delicious for it.

100 Days of Productivity - Day 28

Doing analytical work on The Handmaid's Tale is super interesting. My teacher was talking about how writing is art and Atwood's work certainly is. I read a critical analysis by Adi Robertson which really struck me, there was a sentence along the lines of.. 'we've tricked ourselves into believing that the egalitarian system we've established where women are grudgingly tolerated is proof that we've already achieved equality.' (paraphrased, obviously)

She wrote about how women make up 50% of the population and yet, allowing them 30% speaking time in movies instead of 17% would be considered a matriarchal hell for a lot of people. Anyway, the novel's given me a lot to think about and I'm tempted to just spend all night reading about it but I CAN'T.

A blueberry muffin and good music are all one needs to study history. Featuring my maths notes as I transition from mostly awake to struggling to keep my eyes open.

As you can see math class is not the most exciting this year but also I need to stop running on 4 hours of sleep every night. I think the problem is that I'm more productive at night so I stay up but I also can't sleep during the day🤔

Note from present me: I'm trying to work out if I like his kind of editing or if I like my old style~~ any feedback please?

Isn't there something very romantic about smudging black ink on plain paper? Maybe it's just my way of consoling myself.

Anyway, this is my favourite ridiculous quote from The Handmaid's Tale. Love to hate it. I'm really lagging behind in terms of getting my essay done though.

100 Days of Productivity - Day 33

Watch my handwriting get progressively worse. It's like a before and after gone wrong , kinda like my life.

My mental stability is on a steady decline at this point and I don't really know what to do about it. I try to be healthy but that seems to mean that I can't devote any time to study or work and if I can't devote my time to that, then I won't do well in them and then my mental health gets worse anyway. It's what Mark Manson would call the Feedback Loop from Hell.
