This weeks challenge is to draw hands

I’m so sorry lmao, but hands are something literally every artist needs to practice drawing, its something we often avoid drawing because they’re tricky

So this weeks challenge is a bit different, this time you only post hands. You can draw a character or whatever, but when you share the image for this challenge I only want the hands, if you draw a whole character then just crop out everything but the hand (like I’ve done above)

So just hands, they dont have to look super realistic they can look more cartoony, but you should try to draw them anatomically correct, it is for practice after all

I really suggest just creating a blank canvas and then you just fill it with hands, just draw a bunch of them from various angles, rather than drawing one or two super detailed hands I’d suggest trying to draw a lot of them

The easiest way to draw good hands is by looking at your own hands or looking up reference pics online

I will be reblogging tutorials that I find to help, good luck! and please dont be afraid to do this challenge, I think its a very good thing to practice

This weeks theme is to draw plants!

Helloo sorry I was gone for 2 weeks hfjkfgkjgf work keeps me busy

A bunch of people suggested flowers or plants as a theme so thats what I picked

As usual the image can have just about anything in it as long as plants is the main focus. It can be realistic or made up plants, big or small, full of flowers or just leaves.

This weeks challenge is to draw the sky!

It can be a nighttime sky, a dawn, a sunset. It can have clouds, sun, moon, stars, a plane, birds, just whatever is in the sky. I recommend drawing clouds, thats a good challenge.

You can have other stuff in the image, as seen above, people, buildings, ground, but try to make the sky the focus of the image.

This weeks theme is to draw a beach

I’ve been gone for 500 years but now I’m finally finished with the move aahh

This weeks theme is to draw a beach, since its so warm and a lot of people go bathing rn

It can be a tropical beach with palm trees, it can be in a cold area where everything's frozen, it can be daytime or nighttime, it can be any kind of beach as long as its a form of land meeting water.

You can have characters and other stuff in the image but the main focus should be the beach/the background

Don’t feel scared about making it look realistic, it can look however you want (just look at my cartoony silly comic example above lol).

This weeks challenge is to draw robots

This weeks theme is drawing robots. It can be any kind of robot, really weird looking ones or more humanoid. I guess its best to leave the range of possibilities wide and include all kinds of robots, like cyborgs and androids as well, just try to make sure you can at least tell its a robot of some kind.

This is a good opportunity to try drawing things like plastic, metal, mechanical stuff, wires, blinking lights.

If you choose to draw an android/human looking robot then it might seem too easy, one challenge can be to try drawing it with some kind of injury or maybe its unfinished, like maybe its missing limbs/parts, so that you still draw some “robotic parts” and not just a person

Take one of your old art works and redraw it in your current style.

It should be at least 2-3 years old. This time though I’m specifically encouraging you to try and find the oldest art you have if possible, like drawings from when you were a kid.
