a lot of the time i love being a neuropsych student in a health psych program bc i get the interdisciplinary and comprehensive approach that comes with a degree not just focused on testing
but other times i'll be standing in front of the class doing a presentation that i'm interested in and worked hard on and the professor will just lightly shit on the whole neuropsych field at me and i'm like. okay, cool, so, i could do the same at you but i'm not fucking rude
#also her husband is LITERALLY a neuropsychologist so i'm like girl???#like i'm all for critiquing neuropsych but she was just mean-spirited about it#it was less like 'a weakness of the neuropsych field is this' and more like 'neuropsychologists are frustrating because they refuse to do#this'#like okay girl so. you know i'm here bc that's not true right#and notably i could say that other psychologists are frustrating bc they refuse to do what i'm gonna do#and yet instead i actually recognize a need for all of us. wow. incredible#anyway this is so niche and doesn't really matter but it took me like a full week to be like#wait a minute that was rude#lmfao#grad school life#also i must say that this was the latest of many irritations by her like it wasn't just this#lol#lucy speaks
