I was starting to work out during my lunch hours during the start of the pandemic. However, I lost my office job due to coronavirus and while I still wanted to work out, I totally lost my motivation for it. Do you have any tips on how to get motivated and keep motivated? I hope the new year treats you well, Mary🥰

I think it’s something personal, for each of us - it depends on what we ultimately want to achieve. I had been unhappy with my body for a long time, was sinking lower and lower into depression and working out gave me goals, something that i could pursue every day, it added a definite thing into my daily routine, and gave me a modicum of control over... something. I couldn’t control most of the things i was unhappy about, but i could control this, so i stuck to it. Also, you need to have patience - it takes a couple of months for any results to show and this is usually why people get demotivated, because they expect fast results.

And the most important thing: find workouts that you LOVE doing. I spent years finding something that really worked for me and once I found it, i found myself looking forward to working out. And it also helped my mental health, because you feel accomplished after putting in the work. And that feeling of accomplishment gives you the motivation to come back to it every day. :)

Ooh someone else knows Awake besides me! Movie freaked me right out but it was so good!

Hey! Awakewas never a blockbuster but trust me, people do know the movie. I know a lotpeople (non-Star Wars/Hayden fans) who like the movie (probably because I recommendit to everyone I know :P).

I hadso many first time I watched it. Thirst, anger, thirst, sadness, thirst, etc…andthat ending always get to me. Awake and Life as a House are the movies I can’twatch without drowning in feels.

Little update: I returned to Barnes & Noble to purchase books for friends and family members for the holiday season. This year I gifted two people Red Rising bc everyone should experience that epicness! BUT, I ALSO PICKED UP THE STARLESS SEA AND I AM SO EXCITED TO READ IT. IT LOOKS GORGEOUSSS. What’s a show that you find yourself always coming back to and recommending to others?

Gilmore Girls - idk why, but it kind of soothes me, and whenever i’m feeling a lot of turmoil, i watch it :)
