Yes I agree. Making headcanons about gender can be a potentially insensitive and careless thing to do.

The problem I have with it is it’s not just insensitive, it’s essentially determining part of someone, who they are, for them. That’s not up to for some random stranger to decide.

Really, it just bewilders me how people think they have the right to assume deeper parts of someone’s persona for them and have the nerve to call it “just an idea I came up with”.
