Here’s one of those “then vs now” things, ‘cause it’s important to appreciate how far you’ve come etc etc… It’s probably no surprise to anyone that my first decent attempt at a portrait was a member of Apocalyptica XD It was a few years after I’d started listening to them, and I was so happy with it that I sent a copy to Rock Sound magazine and they printed it. I thought it was the best day ever! I never would’ve guessed that 9 years later I’d draw a ridiculous sketch of Eicca for a giggle, and he’d go and tell me that I’d captured his “real personality”….
