"Teach me how to play?" With Lawrence/Adam? Or Bruce/Adam, if that's easier. Heck, Lawdawg/Bruce/Adam if you want (I guess that'd be "teach us", but whatever you're okay with, please and thank you so much!!!)

10. “Teach me how to play?”

“Uh, Lawrence?”

“Yes, Adam?”

“Not that I’m not enjoying this, but,” Adam shifts in Lawrence’s arms. “This is not what I meant when I asked you to teach me how to play.”

“Oh, well,” Lawrence unhooks his head from over Adam’s shoulder, relaxes his grip on Adam’s hands. He thinks the date is going well, but, y’know. Misunderstandings. It’s their first hole of mini-golf and he’s already doing the stupid lean-over-and-teach-your-date-how-to-putt move. The first hole. “I don’t know in what other way I could’ve taken that sentence.”

Adam grins a little, looks over his shoulder at where Lawrence has pulled back but not stepped away. “I was thinking more like, scores and points.”

He shrugs, “In that case… beats the hell out of me.”

Now, Adam turns to him properly, lifting an eyebrow as he leans on his putter. “I thought you said you knew how to play this game.”

“I do!” Lawrence lifts his putter in his hand. “You hit the ball with the club into the hole. And then you go to the next hole.”

Adam scoffs lightly, “Yeah, it’s mini-golf. A three-year-old can do it.”

“That’s why I suggested it, Adam.”

“This is an important question, Lawrence. Am I three years old to you?”

Lawrence rolls his eyes. “No, but you are stalling. I’m not fully convinced you can play mini-golf by yourself.”

Narrowing his eyes, Adam says, “Huh.” Seems to contemplate for a second before he continues, dryly, “I believe you are what some would call a master baiter. You are a master at baiting.”

“Oh, I’m master of something, alright.” He winks and now it’s Adam’s turn to roll his eyes. “Putt the ball already, Adam.”

“Okay. Okay,” He turns back to the ball, readies himself for the shot. “But this is not because you told me to.  This is to prove a point.”

“Of course.”

Adam gives him another look over his shoulder before he hits the ball, sending it directly into the opposite wall and rolling roundly into the hole. When he turns back to Lawrence, he’s wearing a smarmy smile that Lawrence wants to kiss off.

He doesn’t say anything, but Lawrence does. He smiles, soft, and leans in, lays a kiss on Adam’s cheek. Says, “Good job.”

Seemingly taken aback, Adam’s mouth opens, as if to say something. But all the smarminess is gone, then. All he manages is a soft “Thank you” back.

Lawrence thinks, The date is still going well.

Hey there! I just saw your spooky hotel au comic and was wondering if you can give me a rundown of it? It already looks awesome and I'd love to know more!! Thanks!

Hi! And I guess I should do a rundown because it really has been a while since the last time I talked about this AU on my blog.

Ryan is the owner of the hotel which he houses supernatural beings in. Humans of course can enter the hotel but they get treated very differently. Immediately when someone steps through the door, Ryan gives them a scan just like in the newest comic (x) to see what he’s dealing with. That’s why he always works on the reception.

Jeremy is an experienced hunter of ghosts and other supernatural beings. I’ve revealed very little of his story, just like Ryan’s as well. There is a lot planned out and it will all be revealed in time. Though I do like foreshadowing stuff.

Gavin is a ghost like being who can possess items and move them. If he is not possessing an item he is invisible. Invisible to humans, at least. If he is possessing an item you can usually see his eyes, mouth and nose. Here’s a pretty old comic about him (x). 

Jack is an ice giant who’s full design I have not revealed yet. I’ve been planning on Geoff as well. Geoff has a bar that he holds in the hotel and Jack is a repairman who has his own cottage on the edge of the forest near the hotel.

Michael is a human. And he usually does stuff that Ryan assigns him. Checking on guests, cleaning, making sure that no immense property damage is made by a guest. Also he has no idea that Ryan is an android, so there’s that.

For the tropes- That one where a character gets caught and are asked to surrender all their weapons, and then the guard goes *glare* and then MORE weapons appear and then "I said ALL of them" and then one last one is pulled out inexplicably
