Hello everyone!
My name is Sam and I have decided to start a blog about moving from Norwalk, Connecticut to New Orleans, Louisiana.
Before I moved here in August of 2014, I researched what life in Louisiana was like for out-of-staters and didn't find very much from a "northers" persepective. And sure, learning is best when done from firsthand experience. However, I wish I had at least some guide of what New Orleans was realllly like. (I'll get more into that in a future post)
Here I will share my daily(ish) adventures while I navigate through graduate school, yummy food, making friends, a new job, and all other things twenty-somethings do in a new city.

I also have no idea how much time I'll be able to commit to this project, but I am going to give it my best shot! I am currenty holding a part time job and have a full course load in grad school. I promise to not disappear out of nowhere when things get hectic - I'll give you a heads up. If this gets to be too much - I'll cross that bridge when I get there, but right now, I have the time so lets do this thing :)
