Spent most of my day on the road driving out of state to bring my son to visit his dad then I turn back around and drive back to VT. After a long time in my car, and with a growing list of things to tend to in my home garden, I decided to blast some #djadog on my wireless speaker and spend some time with the land. Im grateful to be able to have the physical strength and capacity to tend the land with joy and a learners mind. This year is our first summer with a fence and I decided to allow much of our small piece of land here in #winooski to grow #wild and see what our #natural #land has to offer. This has allowed me much time and space for #selfstudy so I spend a lot of time each day going through the yard and practicing plant identification and exploring how to integrate these wild foods in our home diet as well as cultivate and dry or ferment what our land naturally provides for medicine, teas or gut rich ferments. Its been a blessing to have our chickens this summer also tending to the land and enriching our little #urbanhomestead here in #winooskimytown. Here with the land is where I feel the presence of my ancestors, hear the guidance from the wind and animal totems, become unified with the expanded rhythm of #oneness, #freedom, #santosha, #yoga. #urbanshamaness #servantofnature #thisishowigarden #healinirie #holisticchef #fullcircle @healinirie
