The Love Nest Indeed

So....Daisy came over for tea. She didn’t know that I had stashed Gatsby in my kitchen. The look on her face...everyone was so awkward that I high-tailed it out of there!

I came back out of the rain, Daisy and Gatsby seemed chummy. We went to his mansion so he could show off his home to Daisy. She was absolutely glowing with happiness, so much so that she cried when she all of Gatsby’s colorful shirts (weird). 

What’s stranger is Gatsby’s real story. His real name is Jay Gatz. DO NOT TELL ANYONE! 

Anyway, earlier was really awkward because I was hanging with Gatsby, Daisy, Jordan, and, get this, TOM! Of course, life is just interesting, isn’t it. We went to town to get out of the heat. On the way there, we stopped for gas in Tom’s sweet yellow car. I think Myrtle saw us...

In the hotel room, Gatsby straight up told Tom about his affair with Daisy! But Daisy said she loves both men! WTH!? Gatsby and Daisy took off in the yellow car ahead of us to drive back home. But apparently, they got into some trouble on the way there because MYRTLE WAS KILLED BY A HIT AND RUN! SHE WAS KILLED BY A YELLOW CAR!

A hard lesson learned today- that may yet still end in disaster: Barge makes paint bubble. I didn’t know this, had zero idea it would happen, and SHOULD have tested on a sample first- but didn’t. In an effort to tack the ribbon/lace to the top of the greave to keep it from slipping down, I dabbed a small bit of barge onto the area where I wanted it (and the ribbon). Much to my horror, after my timer went off, bubbles had erupted at the barge location. In terror, I said “to heck with it” and slapped the ribon on. It stuck...luckily, and stayed stuck for a test fit after approximately 20 mins from the start of the ordeal. I’ll know in 24 hours if the barge sets properly or if I need to scrape paint and start again. Cross your fingers for me, people.
