#GeoffreyOwens works in the @traderjoes I shop in. Never once did I think to even say anything about his acting career. He’s on his hustle. #LeaveHimAlone #ShameOnYou @foxnews, that was tackless. #ThisIsNotNews Happy Labor Day Happy Monday 💙 #Classic #Elegant #Style Show the Blue Shoe Syndicate how you do blue! Is this seriously a real article? This is the most desperate attempt at clicks I think I've ever seen. Secondly, Google is wrong I have never shown any interest in Kim Kardashian. WHY GOOGLE, I THOUGHT YOU KNEW ME?! #thisisnotnews
Every few days, I will take a screenshot of a certain website and highlight the Things That Are Not News:
-Unlabeled (or hidden) Opinions Disguised As News (UO)
-Clickbait (headlines which reveal little-to-no content until you click them) (CB)
-Misleading Headlines (headlines which are just not telling it straight) (MH)
-Headlines where they quote one or two words but make it seem like the whole line is a quote or like the one word is somehow ‘controversial’ (Q1W or Q2W)
-Other stuff that bothers me
nanananana...batmannn.
I've been out and about the last two days, which is a real change up since its been winter. It was fun, but its nice to be back home in my batman pants.
To give you an idea of how small the place I live in is, here is a run down of the past three weeks newspapers. Week one, front page; parents who had twin girls, had some more twins. (How do I genetics?) Week two, front page; a baby was born on Christmas!! (That's a one in 365 chance you know!!) Week three, front page; there were some break ins, one of which my dad actually discovered. It was a garage that was opened, the car was taken, they drove it a mile or so, then abandoned it. My dad found the empty garage and reported it. Also on week threes front page, the supermarket I work in made money over Christmas. I fuck you not, this is front page news here.
