16. What inspired you to start writing?
I started writing when I was about 12 or so. I roleplayed on forums and before that I was writing fanfics. I actually was inspired to write because of course I saw my sister doing it and thought ‘Hey! I need to jump in on that.’ I didn’t actually start writing fanfics until after I started roleplaying and I recall my first fanfic being a huge terrible crossover of all of the final fantasy game characters. Lmfao!
17. What is your favourite genre to write?
I like horror and a lot of psychological mind tricks. Amazingly, I don’t like writing sad things which would probably be surprising given how much I like the latter. I also like to write romance and a lot of action and survival stuff.
6. How do you find inspiration to write when you can seem to find your muse?
If I am writing with my character muses I tend to listen to music either in the same genre, (Medieval music, lute playing, etc) or music that reminds me of the setting and theme of what i’m writing, (southern goth, sad or creepy music, post-apocalyptics/zombie survival music is soem of the things I listen to.) I also have a list of songs for each of my characters that I listen to, to get myself in he mood to write with them.
I also tend to read lines of my characters if they are not oc’s. I read Fenris’s lines and listen to his voice to get a feel for his tone and way of speaking. I also read and listen to lines of aggressive Hawke for Birch.

headcanons meme : childhood edition
Eremes got into....amazing amounts of trouble as a child, mostly due to exuberance. Climbing trees, falling out of trees, breaking bones, eating the wrong kind of berries and having stomach aches, going to get water from the stream and coming back with none because he spilled it all on the way / tripped and fell, coming back literally covered in mud, being chased up a tree by a bear, etc. the list goes on for quite a long time
as a result he got a lot of time outs. he spent a lot of time with the clan’s fen’harel statue and thinks of it kind of fondly? he used to talk to it (in whispers because he was supposed to be quiet in time out).

[ as a child, when his face was still soft and rounder and less pasty, jowan wore his hair even longer than now. his first years in the circle, many would find themselves assuming he was a young girl. when he reached 11 or so, he finally agreed to let someone cut his hair, but short hair didn’t feel right and he personally didn’t think the cut itself looked particularly good at all. once it grew out properly and he hit his own growth spurt early, he kept it at shoulderlength permanently. (after his escape from redcliffe and jowan’s intention, though, he let it grow out a bit more again, keeping it in a low ponytail on occasion if it got a bit unwieldy.) ]

It had been years since they last saw each other, he didn’t even recognize Rhode at first. What was he doing out here? The sky was dropping demons from a large tear in the veil and this crazy ass dwarf was out here roaming around like it was nothing. Typical.
“Rhode?” Birch called, coming closer. Could it really be him? When he saw his face, he was certain and he couldn’t help the over joyed feeling that went through him, “Rhode!”
He came bustling over, bending down and wrapping his arms around the dwarf and pulling him into a tight hug. Of all places to find him, Birch never thought it’d be out here. “It’s been way too long, my friend,” he said, refusing to let go.

2. Birch is musically apt and can play the flute and lute and later learns to play the harp. He brings his flute around with him everywhere though because it is easiest to carry.
3. In the DAI verse Birch joins the inquisition early to help feed the people.
