ooooooh, i believe you! i'm so happy i started watching it. i might be a very emotional person (i cry a lot, especially about shows/movies/books/etc), but i love it. and i'm sure it'll be the same with fringe!
i'm only in season 2, but i already know that this is a show worth watching & worth remembering!

fuck, you just explained everything I felt while watching it! I mean, while i was reading the book I was crying my eyes out and then... I see it and maybe half a tear? Come on! I love love love sibling stories! The Pevensies are everything to me! ffs
yes!!! i started crying when fili died and kili reacted BUT THEN THERE WAS NOTHING? IT JUST COMPLETELY MOVED ON???? i def cried a bit at kili and tauriel but then again there was this weird mood whiplash and by the time it got to thorin and bilbo i mean i don't give a fuck about their relationship anYWAY but he didn't even care about them and i was so done by then just ugh
i mean of all the things to change what was wrong with that?? if you wanted it to be more impacting then why not have the impact of fili and kili falling for thorin (i mean they don't even have to die straight away so you can have the in-battle tauriel and kili bit kind of) and him mourning/crying for them and then you can have the kili and tauriel scene and the bilbo and thorin scene in the tent like in the book IT'S DOUBLE THE PAIN?? i just don't understand at all, it would have been fine if they were extra scenes but to just erase that familial element it took pretty much all of the emotional investment away, esp with the way they just completely moved on as soon as they were gone :(

that's one of the things i'm most bitter about like why did they separate thorin fili and kili like it just lost almost all impact?? whY isn't familial love as valid as romantic love and why didn't any of them care about the others once they'd died omg i can't?? i love tauriel sm and i was actually into her and kili despite myself but they could still have had a rly emotional scene without it eclipsing the non-romantic emotions as usual uuuggghghhhhhh
