Going out to dinner with my family includes, one preset leave time, a reset leave time cause the first got fucked, at least two family members backing out because the screaming and crying has caused dinner to be called off, then a make up talk that’s totally fake, another screaming match, my mother crying and then my gram screaming at us all to just get in the car, an uneasy car ride and then finally, food!! Woot!!

So today I was shopping and trying on bathing suits and the woman in the room next to me was with her 8 year old son. I listened to this woman scold this boy, making sure she was loud enough for all of us to hear, about how he was getting fat, needed to watch what he ate. And never in my life have I come so close to almost hitting an adult then when this happen. Boy: I'm sad. Mother: why? Boy: because I look so fat. Mother: jeez well maybe now you'll think twice about what you put in your mouth, you really are getting a stomach. Another conversation that was loud enough to hear was this Boy: I don't like these pants. Mom: well don't wear them so low like that, god look at how your belly sticks out. You need a bigger size so your stomach isn't sticking out like that. It makes you look heavy. She was saying this so loud that my guy friend who was outside the dressing room could hear her. I wanted to knock on the door and inform her that maybe the appropriate time for a conversation like this is not when your child already feels bad because he thinks he looks fat and definitely not in such a public setting. Further more if you think your child needs to change his eating habits, well seeing as he is eight maybe you should supervise him? When I was 8 I wasn't cooking my own meals and doing my own grocery shopping, so it sounds like maybe she should step up to the plate a little bit here. If he is eating unhealthy it is because simeone, oh i dont know HIS MOTHER is buying him said unhealthy food. I think the worst thing was when I asked my friend to tell me what was going on since I was changing and she informed me that she saw them and the boy was a little bigger, but was about 8 so he hasn't had a growth spurt yet. The mother on the other hand was an extremely obese woman. There is a difference between trying to get your child to eat healthy and starting an eating disorder. Public ally lamb basting an 8 year old is not how you get a child to eat healthy, that's how you make them feel like shit. She literally said to him at one point, "boys shouldn't look like that they should be slim" I am just still so angry about this. I'm so mad because if this is how she treats that little boy in a few more years she will have a son with an eating disorder. This is how these things start, all the horrible body I,age issues people have. My heart breaks for this poor kid, and his mother should be ashamed.
