Original photo by Kendall Redlitz Theme: death: something to fear or a release? I chose this picture mainly because it depicts fire, and one of the many connotations of fire is death. I think this picture is perfect for this question because in the picture one can see the flames engulfing the wood, however the wood is being engulfed in an almost tranquil fashion. It seems dangerous and yet intriguing. Is it possible that fire, like death, can be both terrifying and calming?
